I am a physician-scientist. I trained in medicine at Vinnytsia National Pirogov Medical University in the Ukraine. My PhD work at the Center for iPS Cell Research at Kyoto University (Japan) focused on generating neurons and forming organoids from iPS cells, including creating new hindbrain stem cell models and testing the wound healing potential of extracellular vesicles derived from induced mesenchymal stem cells. My current research in SAND focuses on advancing our understanding of neuronal network function withinneurological disorders by developing innovative models that integrate Rett syndrome patient-derived organoids with electrophysiological recordings of neuronal network activity using microelectrode array (MEA) technologies.
